| Hey you guys!! I'm glad things are finally going well for our little man. He is such a "little hunk". He's going to be quite the lady's man. Give my nephew a great big hug and a kiss. I can't wait to see him again. It's been 9 months and he has grown so much. Hope to see you guys at Christmas!! Love you. | |||

| Just wanted let you know that you are not alone and there is support all over. Our youngest son has sever Scoliosis that was discovered at 6 months old. He was in a body brace till almost 2 years old. The brace not keeping up we then went with the Risor (body) cast till he was almost 4. The Great doctors at Childrens Mercy in Kansas City installed Spinal rods in to little Maddox's back. My wife and I truely know from experience of the pain, strenth, dedication and love that it takes. Max is now 4 1/2 and i bet that Chase and he would get aling great. | |||

You warned us about the pictures of his surgery, I went through them very quickly! I saw a prayer request through COLE's today for Chase and will be praying for him and following his journal and blog. I see he begins another round of chemo tomorrow. I came over to this page before reading much of the journal at Caringbridge to see how he does during his chemotherapy. I will check on that next and pray accordingly. Your son is truly the blessing you say he is. God gave him to you because he knew you would love and care for him no matter what! What a sweet boy he is. There are special plans for him. Until next time......have a great day |

Dear Gray Family, My husband Ben and I own Manhattan Running Co. and I ran in the 10k on Saturday to support your son. I was hoping to visit with you on Saturday and meet your sweet little boy, but everything was so hectic. Maybe we can get together in the future. I have a 5 month old, so our boys could have lots of fun playing together one of these days. I also have a 12 year old son that was born with a heart defect. We didn't realize it until he was 1 week old and at 2 weeks he had heart surgery. You would never guess it now by looking at him now. We are fortunate that he has very few restrictions, but it's something that needs monitored for the rest of his life. I just wanted you to know that you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers while Chase gets through this tough time in his life. I look forward to hearing about his progress. He is such a precious, adorable little boy. Those blue eyes are just beautiful! God bless you all! |

| Our son Andrew is really good friends with James. They go to school together. We want to let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you. We totally know what you feel like. Our son was born with problems and we spent 4 weeks in Wichita. Then we spent 2 more weeks at Kansas City Children's Mercy. They found that he had pneumonia and many other things. He has developmental delays and he has had the most procedures done to him that I could ever think of. We spent time n the ICU and recovery areas. He was alwys hooked to monitors and tubes. It is hard, but prayers and thoughts always have the benefit of helping these procedures. Good luck, and if there is anything we can do to help, let us know. We live in Norton and Amanda's parents know us real well also. He is an adorable little thing. Hopefully he is on the downhome stretch of things. | |||

| My thought and prayers are going out to you and poor lil Chase. Almost 4 yrs ago I sat in a waiting room at a childrens hospital in Neb, my premie daughter who was just a month old was being cut open because they believed she had the flesh eating disease the doctors told me that they would do everything they could for her but to be prepared because of her size they werent sure she would make it. So I sat there with my husband and prayed very very hard that God would be with her and help her fight. She made it through the surgery but it wasnt the flesh eating disease she ended up catching group B strep from the other hospital she was in so they had to keep the wound open so she wasnt out of the woods yet. The next day our families joined us along with our pastor to get her baptized just in case she took a turn for the worse but she kept fighting and she is now a very strong 3 yr old lil girl. I believe just like you that God has a plan for her and that is why she is still here... that and the fact that no one ever gave up on her and kept praying for her. We had people we didnt even know come and sit with us and pray with us. I know ehat you all are going through is alot more then what we went through but she is our angel and I am sure you feel the same way about Chase. So dont lose faith I know it is hard but God will get you all through this. I will keep you all in my prayers and send good thoughts your way. | |||

I am very proud of you and your young family! The approach you are taking to this challenge is top notch and full of everything it needs to have to be successful for CHASE. I loved the slide show. Tears were there. You are all a picture of love, strength, faith, family, A TRUE FAMILY! I have CHASEING A CURE ON MY WRIST and tell everyone and anyone who asks all about your little man. It is so sad that when families are in the situation you are in that insurance has to make it even harder. Raymond's dad had to leave the hospital on his last day because of insurance, we have two cancer fighters on staff who are reaching limits and it is just no right. They pay premiums for years and then is it there when they really need it. NO. I will continue to pray for all of you and the second opinion to be a tremendous success for all of you! GOD BLESS! |

Hi Gray family, You all are such an inspiration to me. I can not imagine poor Chase or you as parents having to deal with what you have & continue to each day. I know I only met you once but seeing Chase OMG what a sweet little man. He's seems very tough & this is just a bump in his life. He's got a great future ahead of him & always lots of prayers going out to him & you all as well. We have been very busy getting ready for the benefit. TOTALLY am having a blast collecting stuff & we have alot. I seem to eat, sleep, & breath collecting for Chase. I'm here if there is anything I can do to help please let me know. Dennis (sr) & Wendy know how to get ahold of me. Take care of each other! Much Love, Kim Christy

We think of you often and know that you all have the strength to get through this. In a flash we're going to be wondering where the last 18 years went when we're sending our boys off to college,or just kicking them out of the house! Sending much love from Idaho - the Hartfords |
